Hey there! My name is Kali (pronounced like Kaylee, though it looks like “Cali”). I’m so glad you’re here.
I see the barriers that therapists and professionals face every day… confusing regulations, endless documentation, compliance hurdles, and the pressure to fit into a cookie-cutter mold of what a “therapist” or a “practice” should look like. Because of this, I’m passionate about challenging the rigid norms of mental health systems, and not just in the therapy room.
My goal is to strengthen both professionals and practices, helping you feel confident and seen while doing meaningful work.
Whether through continuing education, supervision, or compliance consulting, my approach is down-to-earth, accessible, and unapologetically human. I support practices that want structure without losing their identity, and I guide therapists in showing up fully as themselves in their sessions.
My Journey.
How I Got Here.
After earning my degree in public health and gender studies, I found myself drawn into the mental health field. I started as a case manager for adults. To put it simply, it was hard. The systems were rigid, the hoops were endless, and I quickly realized why my clients were struggling. I wanted to help, but I also saw how the system itself made real progress difficult.
That experience inspired me to go back to school for social work. But even then, nothing prepared me for walking into my first “flying solo” therapy session.
Who let me do this?
I felt unprepared and uncertain. Over time, through experience across multiple levels of mental health care, multiple supervisors, and working with clients of all backgrounds, I realized something important: these systems are not only hard on clients. They are also hard on the professionals doing the work.
So, I decided I wanted to fill that gap. I wanted to support therapists and practices in a way that honors their values and their own humanity, without reshaping them to fit outdated standards.
MY WHY:
I’ve been where you are, feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and unsure how to navigate supervision, compliance, or accreditation.
Some of my highlighted past experiences include:
☆ Running a treatment group home and navigating both state and CARF accreditation standards for residential and behavioral health programs
☆ Participating in CARF surveys and documentation review across multiple agencies
☆ Training clinicians in private practice settings to meet standards and implement workflows effectively
☆ Supporting small and growing practices through policy development, workflow analysis, and accreditation preparation
From the trenches of community mental health to private practice, I’ve literally walked the spectrum. And from managing staff and policies to guiding individual clinicians through complex systems, I know the details that feel small but take a ton of effort. Things like making sure every intake includes a risk assessment or implementing a new workflow across dozens of clinicians.
I also know the importance of creating systems that actually work for the people running them without all the jazz of feeling corporate or impersonal.
How I Work
Whether we’re working together for clinical supervision, CEUs, or accreditation consulting, my approach is flexible and collaborative.
Discovery & Gap Analysis
First, we figure out where you or your practice feel stuck and where things are going well. I’ll identify the gaps and highlight priorities for improvement.
Real-time Feedback
You’ll never feel like you can’t speak up. I check in regularly, ensuring we’re meeting your needs and goals. Honest support without hierarchy or judgement.
Customized Support
Depending on your needs, we can take a hands-off approach where I provide guidance and feedback, or a more hands-on approach where I help implement policies, workflows, and staff training.
Practical & Personal
Everything I do is grounded in real-world experience and tailored to the way you and your team operate, not what some manual says you should do.
The result? Therapists feel seen, confident, and capable. Practices gain structure without losing identity.
And most importantly, the systems and support actually work for the real people running them.
A BIT MORE ABOUT ME
I believe that mental health professionals deserve support that’s flexible and real. You don’t have to sacrifice your personality or values to meet someone else’s standards. You get to bring all of you to your work, and that’s what I help you do.
I’m both approachable and candid. I bring humor, heart, and honesty every time we meet. And yes, sometimes that means wearing a hoodie instead of a suit.
Because this is people-centered support for humans doing hard work.
Whether you’re here to earn CEUs, find a supervisor, or prepare for CARF or OHMAS accreditation, I’d love to support you.
Together, we’ll make sure the behind-the-scenes parts of your work don’t overshadow what you love: connecting with clients and making an impact in their lives.
